At Pyramid Architectural Design, we thrive on revitalising spaces to reflect the evolving needs of businesses and communities. Our project at Fresca, Middlesbrough’s newest beloved Italian restaurant, epitomises this ethos.
With Fresca’s change in ownership came a fresh vision for the restaurant’s ambiance and functionality. Tasked with enhancing the dining experience, our challenge was to design internal alterations and a brand-new front extension that would elevate Fresca’s charm while accommodating increased seating capacity and improving year-round comfort.
Building upon our previous planning approval for a glazed structure, we embarked on a journey to reimagine Fresca’s facade with a permanent brick-based glazed extension. This upgrade not only enhances the restaurant’s aesthetic appeal but also provides a versatile space for patrons to enjoy alfresco dining during summer months and cozy warmth during winter.
Additionally, our design includes the removal of a structural wall, optimising flow and accessibility while accentuating the bar area for a more inviting atmosphere.
The remodelled interior and front extension have seamlessly integrated with the restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere, offering patrons a refined yet welcoming space to indulge in authentic Italian cuisine. With increased seating areas and improved circulation, Fresca now sets the stage for unforgettable dining experiences, whether under the summer sun or the cozy glow of winter evenings.
At the heart of our work lies a commitment to supporting local businesses in their growth and evolution. We are thrilled to have partnered with Fresca in bringing their vision to life, enhancing not only their physical space but also their capacity to delight patrons with exceptional dining experiences.
