Upsall Grange Farm

This project in South Parade, Northallerton involved converting an existing two storey building which formerly housed an accountancy firm, into a contemporary salon and training centre.

Tasked with transforming a vast site into a valuable asset, our team at Pyramid Architectural Design successfully designed a large 4-bedroom dwelling that not only enhances the land’s value but also exemplifies a harmonious blend of modernity and tradition.

Project Overview:

Our clients sought to unlock the potential of their expansive land, desiring a new dwelling that would complement the existing surroundings. The resulting design seamlessly integrates a traditional aesthetic with modern elements, showcasing an off-white render paired with light grey stone finishes. Anthracite windows add a contemporary touch, enhancing the overall color scheme.

Key Features:

1. Thoughtful Site Utilisation

Retaining the existing site access, we maximized functionality by creating a new driveway leading to the proposed dwelling. This strategic approach ensures convenience while enhancing the property’s curb appeal.

2. Architectural Finesse

The front entrance boasts a vaulted ceiling, flooding the space with natural light. Mezzanine levels from the first floor landing area add a sense of openness, setting the tone for a welcoming environment.

3. Functional Spaces

The ground floor is thoughtfully planned, featuring an office, a spacious living room, a large open-plan kitchen/dining area, utility space, storage/pantry room, and a WC. Bi-folding doors in the kitchen/dining area facilitate a seamless connection to the rear garden, amplifying the sense of space.

4. Elegant Bedrooms

The first floor hosts four generously sized bedrooms, including two master bedrooms with en-suites and walk-in wardrobes. The larger master bedroom opens onto a Juliette balcony, providing stunning views of the rear garden and welcoming natural light.

5. Architectural Highlights

A double-sided feature fireplace in the kitchen/dining area serves as a modern focal point, while a glazed balcony overlooking the front of the property enhances the entrance with abundant natural light.

6. Practical Amenities

In addition to spacious driveways, the new home features a large double carport for vehicle storage, aligning with modern lifestyle needs.
