With meticulous attention to detail, we are delighted to unveil a stunning householder development that seamlessly integrates contemporary design elements with the timeless beauty of its natural surroundings.

Cartmel Road
The owners of 11 Cartmel Road were looking for more light and space in their home. So, we achieved this by building a large, single storey gable end extension to their property – the entire end side of which comprised solely of glass in a black painted steel frame. The extension itself was comprised of brick, a cavity wall and supporting steelwork for the roof.
Within this project, our challenge was twofold: to create a modern extension that harmonises with the pristine landscape while meeting the evolving needs of its inhabitants. The project called for the demolition of an existing double garage and the construction of a spacious quadruple garage, along with thoughtful alterations to stores, all while adhering to stringent planning permissions within this protected area.
Drawing inspiration from the rugged yet serene landscape of the North Yorkshire Moors, our design concept centred on a sleek single-storey extension adorned with a glass canopy, glazed balcony, and sophisticated rendering/cladding finish. This architectural ensemble serves as a graceful extension of the existing structure, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces while maximising natural light and panoramic views.
With the approval of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park Authority, our vision for the future takes shape amidst the rolling hills and verdant valleys of this pristine landscape. The forthcoming transformation promises to elevate the living experience for residents, offering a sanctuary of modern elegance and timeless tranquility. From the sleek lines of the glass canopy to the expansive quadruple garage, every detail reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence in architectural design and environmental sustainability.
