The Headlands – The Dale Family

Amidst the picturesque landscape of The Headlands in Marske-by-the-Sea, we celebrate the completion of a stunning property renovation. Within this project we have breathed new life into a cherished family home, enriching its spaces with contemporary elegance and functional versatility.


Cartmel Road

The owners of 11 Cartmel Road were looking for more light and space in their home. So, we achieved this by building a large, single storey gable end extension to their property – the entire end side of which comprised solely of glass in a black painted steel frame. The extension itself was comprised of brick, a cavity wall and supporting steelwork for the roof.

Tasked with revitalising the property to meet the evolving needs of its inhabitants, our challenge was to design a renovation that seamlessly integrated modern amenities while preserving the coastal charm of its surroundings. The project called for a double-storey side extension with a stylish glass balcony, as well as a rear extension to create a modern open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space – a sanctuary for family gatherings and cherished memories.

The double-storey side extension, adorned with a sleek glass balcony, adds vertical dimension and panoramic views, while the rear extension ushers in natural light and seamless connectivity between indoor and outdoor living spaces. The modern open-plan layout prioritises family time, offering a harmonious blend of style and comfort for everyday living.

As the final touches were unveiled, it was a joy to witness the delight of the homeowners as they stepped into their transformed abode. The once-dated property now stands as a testament to the transformative power of architectural ingenuity and craftsmanship.
